You will oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping and returns; coach leaders; manage labor and SAP reporting; and partner with HR on staffing and safety programs to sustain continuous improvement across shifts.

Job Description

Coleto Brands, parent Company of Progress Lighting and Kichler, is seeking to fill an experienced and people-focused Assistant General Manager to support operations onsite at our Jefferson, GA distribution center. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, though additional hours may be required to support business needs.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to drive operational performance, improve processes, and lead high-performing teams. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, a hands-on leadership approach, and the ability to balance day-to-day execution with long-term operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in the daily execution and long-term planning of all distribution center operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
• Drive operational performance across all shifts, ensuring productivity, service, cost, quality, and efficiency goals are consistently achieved.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational trends, and implement strategies to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
• Oversee labor planning, workforce utilization, and resource allocation to maximize productivity while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, address performance gaps, and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational best practices.
• Establish clear performance expectations and ensure accountability for operational results at all levels.
• Support SAP utilization, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making to improve processes and overall effectiveness.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and oversight to Warehouse Supervisors, ensuring effective execution of operational priorities and consistent performance across all shifts.
• Develop strong, capable leaders through ongoing coaching, constructive feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
• Partner with HR to support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee retention initiatives.
• Champion a safety-first culture through proactive training, regular audits, and consistent enforcement of safety standards and company policies.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field stronglypreferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in a high-volume distribution or warehouse environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct leadership experience managing supervisors or large operational teams.
• Proven track record of driving operational performance, improving productivity, and achieving measurable business results.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop leaders while building accountable, high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working extended hours or weekends during peak operational periods, as needed.
