Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior attorney to manage regulatory enforcement matters, complex litigation, and strategic risk management for the enterprise.

You will lead internal investigations, negotiate with regulators, draft documentation, and advise executive leadership on legal and reputational risk in a fast‑paced environment.

This role requires active bar membership and experience before DOJ/SEC; collaboration across legal and business teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Active State Bar membership or the equivalent outside the United States
• Experience as a practicing attorney leading internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and complex litigation, including before DOJ, SEC, prudential regulators, and state attorneys general
• Knowledge and practical experience involving regulator, attorney‑client, work product, and other privileges
• Ability to analyze legal and regulatory issues and provide effective advice on complex legal matters

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of regulatory enforcement matters involving regulators, state and federal law enforcement, and other agencies
• Represent the Company in complex legal issues, regulatory enforcement investigations, litigation, negotiations, and settlement discussions
• Collaborate with Legal Department leaders, subject matter experts, compliance, risk, regulatory relations, government relations, and corporate communications
• Provide strategic, tactical, and effective legal support for lines of business and the Enterprise
• Develop relationships with and advise leadership, including executive officers, on legal, regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks
• Draft complex legal documents and review, revise, and negotiate documents prepared by outside counsel
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Partner with business leaders and corporate department management to develop and implement risk management solutions
• Handle matters significantly affecting Company operations, strategies, or profitability
• Review and analyze complex large-scale or long‑term challenges requiring in‑depth evaluation of multiple factors
• Identify and analyze complex legal issues, develop conclusions, and make recommendations for resolution
• Develop and lead strategic business initiatives and deliverables

Requirements

• 5+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education

• Experience as a practicing attorney leading internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and complex litigation, including before DOJ, SEC, prudential regulators, and state attorneys general
• Knowledge and practical experience involving regulator, attorney‑client, work product, and other privileges
• Ability to analyze legal and regulatory issues and provide effective advice on complex legal matters
• Ability to evaluate economic, reputational, and regulatory risks and develop strategic plans to minimize those risks
• Experience conducting research and providing counsel and guidance regarding complex legal issues
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, demanding environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration
