Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Assistant General Counsel (Transactional) in McLean, VA, to support real estate, development and asset management teams. You will counsel on complex transactions, draft agreements, and oversee diligence across title and surveys while advising senior leaders on corporate and compliance matters.

Ideal candidates bring 6–7 years of corporate/real estate or finance law, strong negotiation and drafting skills, and a bar license in good standing.

Formación

• 6–7 years legal experience in corporate, real estate, or finance law.
• Background in transactional and development work preferred.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Sound legal and business judgment.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
• Senior living or hospitality industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions and development projects.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, LOIs, financings, and management contracts.
• Support joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and portfolio transactions.
• Oversee title and survey diligence processes.
• Advise senior leaders on corporate, contract, and compliance matters.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal strategy with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
