Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking an Assistant Fuel Project Manager to oversee fuel station construction, coordinate with project leaders, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will supervise subcontractors, manage schedules, and report progress from the field.

The role requires nationwide travel, a Mon–Fri schedule, OSHA compliance, and collaboration with the Fuel Systems Manager and Director on multiple projects. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Assistant Fuel Project Manager, $60,000 yearly

Travel is a must! Work schedule is Mon – Fri 7A to 4:30P.

Responsibilities

• Follows the fuel station construction process to ensure that it is completed on time.
• Support and advise Construction Project Managers during fuel projects.
• Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety.
• Serve as a liaison between the Project Manager, Fuel Systems Manager, and Fuel Systems Director for multiple projects.
• Supervises the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver.
• Being on site to oversee all the construction process, anywhere in the United States.
• Ensuring that both the health and safety project plans are implemented.
• Writing daily project progress reports.
• Ensure that quality is preserved in the construction process and that the budget is maintained.
• Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues.
• Ensure the jobsite meets OSHA Safety standards.
• Scheduling.
• Manage General Contractor and or sub-contractors.
• Participate with the project team in pre-project planning sessions, estimating, sub-contractor selection, and scheduling.
• Organize and document project meetings, decisions, and action items.

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedule, and deadlines.
• Knowledgeable in fuel systems and construction.
• Ability to supervise.
• Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict.
• Delegate work appropriately.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, subcontracts and change orders.
• Must work well in a strong team environment.
