Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Riverside, CA is hiring an Assistant Foreman to support project execution, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project leadership. You will help with mobilization/decommissioning of pumping, power, HVAC and utility systems, and participate in emergency response efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in mechanics or engineering are a plus.
• Prior experience in mechanical, maintenance or related roles with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and heat/water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with customers, team members and internal resources.

Responsibilities

• System mobilization and decommissioning: set up and tear down of equipment for operational systems (pumping, power, HVAC, energy and temporary utility systems).
• Emergency and disaster response: participate in rapid deployment and management of resources for restoration and emergency efforts.
• Safety assurance: promote and maintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Compliance oversight: identify hazards and implement controls to minimize risk and ensure project execution.
• Execution support: collaborate with Project Leads to monitor timelines and resource allocation.
• Performance and delivery: ensure projects are completed on time and equipment runs efficiently for client satisfaction.
