Job summary

Dierbergs is seeking an entry-level Assistant Floral Manager to join our floral team. You’ll handle receive/sort of flowers, create simple arrangements, and operate the cash register while serving customers. This role offers growth into department or store management with weekly pay and benefits.

Ideal candidates are focused, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a temperature-controlled store environment.

If you’re focused, detail-oriented and eager to learn, you’ll thrive in this entry-level role as an Assistant Floral Managerwith Dierbergs. As you’re branching out in this fun department, we’ll rely on you to:

• Receive, sort and rotate cut flowers, bouquets and arrangements
• Create simple corsages, boutonnieres and floral arrangements
• Operate cash register and computer systems while processing all forms of payment (gift cards, checks, credits, debits and floral charges)
• Process customer orders for in-store purchases anddelivery
• Arrange store merchandise to best showcase our creative selection of flowers, plants and gifts

• Desire to provide floral arrangements and timely service with thought, style and expertise
• Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler) and tolerate a high-pollen and seed-spore environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
