Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and five years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Certified Floodplain Manager preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license typically required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plan review checklists to apply code requirements.
• Assists in codifying Floodplain Management Regulations for the city.
• Helps implement revised flood maps as directed by Floodplain Manager.
• Assists in revising City Floodplain Management Regulations for resiliency.
• Prepares Floodplain Management Variance Reports and Orders.
• Attends Floodplain Management Board meetings to assist the Board.
• Coordinates with EMS to create a Flood Emergency Guide.
• Works with GIS to create Flood Risk Maps for staff and residents.
• Assists in creating Flood plain management brochures for residents and businesses.
• Assists with annual flood plain management outreach letters and flyers.
