Job summary

Beck's Montessori Accelerated Learning Center in Eagan is seeking an Assistant/Floater Teacher to support Infant and Preschool classrooms.

Qualified candidates must hold MN ECE Assistant Teacher qualification with prior licensed classroom experience; Montessori experience is preferred. Shift is Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, with compensation of $17-19/hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Assist Lead Teacher in development and implementation of the curriculum.
• Develop positive relationships with children and families.
• Participate in professional development activities designated by the Director.
• Maintain a neat, clean prepared environment in line with Montessori pedagogy and ensure licensing, safety and health compliance.
• Physical ability to work around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require MN ECE Assistant Teacher Qualified and previous experience in a licensed classroom setting. Montessori experience preferred.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm

Compensation: $17-19/hr; based on education and experience

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Assist the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the development and implementation of the educational environment and curriculum.
• Develops positive relationships with children and families.
• Participates in professional development activities designated by the Director.
• Maintains a neat, clean, well-organized, and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy.Ensures that the classroom and associated areas (including playground) meet all licensing, safety, and health requirements.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
