Job summary

Inspire-Cp is seeking an Assistant Finance Director to lead critical accounting activities, including the monthly close, financial reporting, and CFR preparation. You will supervise staff, implement robust internal controls, and partner with leadership to ensure compliance with U.S.

GAAP and funding-source requirements. You will coordinate audits, support tax reporting, and provide timely, decision-useful information to executives and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including financial reporting, monthly close, account reconciliation, and audit support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting/financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead components of the monthly and year-end close, and prepare timely financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
• Develop, document, implement and monitor accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit and tax reporting requests and resolve follow-up items.
• Prepare and support CFR components and documentation for accurate filing.
• Oversee tuition billing and revenue recognition processes; ensure proper accounting periods.
• Support budgeting and financial analysis, variance reviews, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, policies, controls, and funding-source requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff, provide coaching, and support performance development.
• Prepare financial presentations and analyses for executive management, Finance Committee, and Board.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and close efficiency.
