Isanti County is seeking an Assistant Finance Director to support and coordinate county-wide financial operations. The role involves professional-level accounting and financial analysis in line with governmental standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the county’s financial records and reports.

You will assist with policy implementation, capital asset accounting, grants, and audits, working closely with the Finance Director and attending county meetings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and at least three years of experience in governmental accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
• Experience with grant accounting and reporting requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department and align activities with county policies.
• Prepare financial reports for county operations and external agencies.
• Perform grant accounting and reporting for county programs.
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger allocations.
• Analyze financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and audit schedules.
• Oversee capital asset accounting and reporting.
• Support development of financial policies and internal controls.
• Attend county meetings as directed and act as Acting Finance Director when needed.
