Job summary

Isanti County Government Center is seeking an Assistant Finance Director to support the Finance Director in coordinating county-wide financial operations. The role requires a strong foundation in governmental accounting, audit preparation, and grant reporting, with responsibilities spanning journal entries, reconciliations, and policy implementation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and at least three years of governmental accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
Ability to analyze fiscal and accounting records and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department and support workflow prioritization.
Prepare financial reports for county operations and external agencies.
Assist with grant accounting, reporting, and annual audit preparations.
Oversee capital asset accounting and reporting and support development of policies.
