Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak and comprehend English to collaborate effectively with others to produce results.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn field maintenance of Carilion Clinic Field.
• Assist in preparing Carilion Clinic Field for all home Salem RidgeYaks games and other events.
• Provide input and help execute a seasonal agronomic plan.
• Assist in aerification, topdressing, overseeding, verticutting, and other agronomic practices.
• Perform clay maintenance on mounds, home plate, infield skin, and warning track areas.
• Assist in irrigation repairs and system tuning.
• Learn tarp management during varying weather situations.
• Work with Front Office and Stadium Ops to prep for large events such as concerts, festivals, and corporate outings.
• Learn and perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Field Operations.
