Job summary

Prasco Park in Mason, OH is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to assist in maintaining Prasco Park and Legacy Field, ensuring safe, game-ready surfaces.

The role involves coordinating daily maintenance, mowing, edging, fertilization programs, and supporting game-day operations with a collaborative, hands-on team. Applicants should be able to work long hours, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in turf management or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years turf management & stadium operations experience.
• Sports Turf Management Association certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of Prasco Park, Legacy Field and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate daily maintenance schedules for stadiums, fertilization programs, and athletic facilities (gym).
• Mowing, edging, chalking lines, and maintaining infield dirt, pitcher's mound, and home plate areas.
• Assist Director of Stadium Operations in coordinating daily needs for game day operations at Prasco Park and Legacy Field.
• Support Events & Hospitality, Facilities, and other departments in event management and setup for baseball games.
• Work long, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in outdoor environments.

Position Type: Full Time

General Purpose of Position:

Assist with all operations at Prasco Park and Legacy Field. Maintaining a safe, professional, and game-ready playing surface.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Assist with the maintenance of Prasco Park, Legacy Field and surrounding areas


• Assist in coordinating schedules with daily maintenance of stadiums, fertilization program, and athletic facilities (gym)


• Mowing, edging, chalking lines, and maintaining the infield dirt, pitcher's mound, and home plate areas.


• Assist Director of Stadium Operations in coordinating the daily needs for game day operations at Prasco Park and Legacy Field


• Assist supporting departments including Events & Hospitality, Facilities, etc. in event management/setup outside specific tasks for baseball games


• Ability to work long, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in fast-paced, outdoor environments

QualificationsTravel:

Position may require 5-10% travel

Work Shift:

This position works days. Some weekends are required based on events schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree; Turf Management degree or similar field preferred


• 1-2 years of turf management and stadium operationspreferred


• Certification in Sports Turf Management Association preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Knowledge of turf, irrigation, and field set-up

• Ability to utilize mechanical equipment
