Job summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking an Assistant Facilities Director to oversee daily maintenance, safety and cleaning operations at our Walnut Creek club. You will lead a team, manage vendor relationships, control expenses, and ensure a clean, safe, and quality facility for members and guests.

Responsibilities include coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and housekeeping, monitoring safety protocols, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with senior management to meet corporate

Responsibilities

  • Assists in hiring, training, supervising, and developing the employment of those supervised in accordance with company polices and directives
  • Manages the evening security team and is responsible for scheduling, training, and assigning tasks to the security team
  • Provides support to the janitorial team as needed and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility is kept to standard on a daily basis, including special projects
  • Monitor uniform adherence for engineering staff.
  • Assist in managing all facility-related operations including but not limited to HVAC, pool and spa repair and maintenance, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, courts, laundry, flooring, security, and housekeeping
  • Ensure club safety and security through continuous monitoring of facilities systems; complete daily walk throughs of the entire club to ensure a clean, organized, safe, and well maintained facility, paying special attention to cleanliness and facility repair
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of chemicals and supplies; maintain up to date Safety Data Sheets
  • Ensure department operates within established guidelines; manage expenses to budget; process payroll timely and accurately
  • Effectively and professionally interacts and communicates with senior management, managers, other employees, vendors, members, senior staff, owners, sponsors and clients, public agencies.
  • Promote harmonious relations among members, staff, vendors, and the community at-large.
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Promote the company’s safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Actively further corporate objectives and continuously support improvement and positive change, which includes participating on corporate designated committees to improve the company and business operations.
  • Make professional development a consistent priority.
  • Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
  • Full-time schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Assistant Facilities Director is responsible for presenting a clean, safe, and quality facility to members and guests. The Assistant Facilities Director assist in overseeing the maintenance, safety and cleaning processes of the Club, and is responsible for anticipating and resolving potential maintenance issues, regular care and maintenance of the property grounds and building systems, development of vendor relationships and inventory systems, managing expenses, and leading a team of staff to achieve the goals of the facilities, janitorial and security departments.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
