Overview
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing all aspects of F&B outlet operations, ensuring profitability, high-quality products, and service levels. The role involves marketing ideas to promote business, reducing employee turnover, maintaining revenue and payroll budgets, and meeting productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the outlet.
- Supervise outlet personnel.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints.
- Coordinate with other F&B managers and communicate issues.
- Keep superiors informed of problems or matters requiring attention.
- Assist in loss prevention monitoring.
- Prepare and submit reports timely, including wage progress, payroll, revenue, employee schedules, and quarterly action plans.
- Monitor service quality.
- Assist in menu planning and preparation.
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Follow SOPs and requisition procedures.
- Be visible on the floor to assist staff during meal periods.
- Conduct staff performance reviews.
- Train employees on SOPs and technical tasks.
- Participate in departmental and hotel training programs.
- Interview candidates for F&B positions following hiring standards.
- Complete tip reporting.
- Implement and monitor corporate promotions and standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
