Job summary

Film Logic Customs Brokers is seeking an experienced Assistant Export Manager to join our Gardena, CA team. You will support daily international air export operations, coordinate shipments from booking to departure, and ensure compliance with export documentation and regulations.

The ideal candidate has 4–5+ years in air export operations, strong CargoWise knowledge, AES/EEI filing experience, TSA/IAC and DG familiarity, and excellent communication.

• Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive shipments
• Ability to work independently while also supporting and leading a team

Responsibilities

• Assist the Export Manager with overseeing daily international air export operations
• Coordinate air export shipments from booking through final departure
• Review export files for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and review Air Waybills (AWBs) and other export documentation
• Handle AES/EEI filings and ensure filings are completed accurately and timely
• Ensure shipments comply with TSA/IAC requirements and procedures
• Review and coordinate Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments in accordance with applicable regulations
• Coordinate bookings and cargo tendering with airlines
• Communicate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, agents, customers, and vendors
• Monitor shipments and troubleshoot delays or operational issues
• Provide quotes and assist customers with export shipment requirements
• Maintain accurate and complete shipment records in CargoWise
• Assist with training and supporting export operations staff
• Help ensure company procedures and customer requirements are followed
• Provide excellent customer service and timely shipment updates
• Assist the Export Manager with day-to-day department needs and workflow

Film Logic Customs Brokers is seeking an experienced Assistant Export Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong international air export experience who can assist with managing daily export operations, support the Export Manager, and help oversee the export team.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, knowledgeable in export compliance, and comfortable working in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, overtime and weekends as needed
