Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter seeks an accomplished leader to serve as Assistant Executive Director of Residential Services, guiding residential operations that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, meaningful lives. This executive role merges strategic leadership, operations oversight, quality improvement, fiscal management, and team development.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director will provide leadership across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Special Education, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience with individuals with IDD.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership, supervising multiple programs.
• Experience budgeting, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of DDD, Medicaid, and residential service delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Residential Services operations and ensure high-quality, person-centered supports.
• Set strategic priorities to strengthen operations and organizational performance.
• Oversee admissions, referrals, and service coordination with DDD and Support Coordination Agencies.
• Lead Directors and Assistant Directors; foster accountability and growth.
• Ensure licensing, Medicaid, accreditation, and funding compliance.
• Direct Quality Assurance, monitor performance, and implement improvements.
• Provide fiscal leadership and oversee the Maintenance Department and facilities.
