Job description

Western Home Communites is seeking an Assistant Event Coordinator to play a vital role on our event center.

DUTIES
  • Assists with coordinating and executing events for the Diamond Event Center and catering needs out of the Jorgensen Plaza kitchen.
  • Assists with the planning, preparation, organization, staffing, and execution of events.
  • Actively recruits for new events and booking for the Diamond Event Center.
  • Taking notes for events to ensure events goes smoothly and to the client's wants, as well as billing for completed events in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Past experience with event management, banquet, and large-scale events preferred—strong customer service background required.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor when conducting business within Western Home Communities and in the community.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluently.
  • Regular attendance is required and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
