Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC (VERTEX) is a global environmental consulting firm seeking a Project Manager to support management of environmental sites and projects in Irvine, CA. The role emphasizes delivering on time, high-quality work and fostering team collaboration.

Responsibilities include site assessments, remediation planning, report preparation, and coordinating with senior managers across practice areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering required.
• 4+ years of related experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years; or 8+ years of related experience with no degree.
• Experience with environmental assessment, remediation, and regulatory programs for the region.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental site assessments including subsurface investigations of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air.
• Plan and execute environmental remediation projects, including soil excavation and treatment, groundwater remediation, and vapor intrusion pathway mitigation
• Provide oversight to field staff and subcontractors conducting site investigation and remediation projects.
• Ensure that project deliverables, milestones, and budgets are met.
• Work closely with senior managers to coordinate work activities to meet milestones, budgets, deadlines, or performance indicators.
• Prepare, review, and submit final reports in accordance with regulations and internal standards.
• Meet or exceed defined utilization goals and support team progress and culture.
