Job summary

Four Seasons in Colorado's Vail is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support the Chief Engineer across hotel and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and operations. You will help plan, organize, and direct engineering workflow to ensure optimal guest comfort.

The role requires at least two years in hotel engineering, strong leadership, English fluency, and the ability to coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in hospitality engineering; hotel environment preferred.
• Technical knowledge of building maintenance and engineering trades.
• Ability to operate computer equipment and communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by the Engineering Manager.
• Assist in the training, supervision, counseling, scheduling and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.
• Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors who provide reliable 24-hour emergency services.
• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
