Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is expanding and seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to help shape the future of our centrifuge fabrication capabilities.

You will support facility growth, guide technical decisions, and help lead a team responsible for safe, efficient development and modernization of fabrication systems. You will collaborate across engineering, construction, operations, safety, and project management to move expansion projects forward with precision and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of engineering experience in advanced equipment design, fabrication systems, or regulated environments.
• Experience leading engineering projects or small technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, rotating machinery, tooling systems, or production equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q‑level security clearance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily engineering activities and provide technical leadership for centrifuge fabrication equipment and facility expansion systems.
• Oversee development, installation, modification, and optimization of fabrication tools and infrastructure with safety/regulatory compliance.
• Support troubleshooting, reliability improvements, project schedules, cost estimates, specifications, and procurement packages; participate in reviews and hazard analyses.
• Validate engineering documentation, monitor contractor/vendor performance, and inform leadership on system performance and risks.
