Job summary

Fairwater seeks an Assistant Engineer - ATBs to support engineering watch on multiple offshore vessel routes along East/West/Gulf coasts and Alaska. The role requires STCW endorsements, VPDSD, and valid medical and security credentials. Strong commitment to safety and marine operations is essential.

Eligible candidates should hold MMC, Basic Training, OICEW, Lifesaving and Firefighting certifications, and possess a valid passport and TWIC with expiration not within three months.

Qualifications

• MMC: entry-level licensing and medical clearance for marine engineering.
• Basic Training: foundational sea-going training.
• VPDSD (VI/6): vessel security duties certification.
• STCW endorsements required: standard seafaring qualifications.
• Assistant Engineer Limited: supports engineering watch on oceans vessels.
• OICEW (750k/1000HP+): officer in charge of engineering watch.
• Personal Survival Craft: survival craft training.
• Advanced Firefighting: advanced firefighting skills.
• Lifeboatman endorsement: lifeboat operation qualification.
• STCW Medical: valid medical certificate.
• TWIC: credential valid for U.S. ports.
• Passport: validity beyond six months.
