Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation seeks an Assistant Engineer for Ocean Class ships, based at Lake Charles or Jacksonville homeport. You will support engine-room operations, take part in watches, and assist in preventative maintenance under senior supervision.

Requires STCW endorsements, travel ability, and a valid passport. Familiarity with vessel machinery and PLC systems is advantageous; compensation follows contract terms with OT where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active STCW with required endorsements (Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, Medical Care Provider).
• TWIC valid and passport for international travel.
• 1 year service as Engineer or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

ASSISTANT ENGINEER – SIU – Ocean Class

Minimum Qualifications

• Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License
• Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider)
• TWIC
• Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into other countries
• CPR/First Aid

Responsibilities

Minimum Experience

• 1 year service as Engineer
• Familiarity with Towing vessel deck machinery
• Familiarity with PLC control systems
• Computer proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance based programs.

Preferred Experience

• Caterpillar or Wartsila experience
• Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning system Training

Qualifications

Expectation: May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary

Probation: 90 days

Compensation: As Per Contract

Geographic Area: Lake Charles or Jacksonville Homeport

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and otherterms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable unioncontract. Specific pay rates and benefits will be provided during thehiring process and are based on the terms outlined in the agreement.
