Fairwater is seeking a Technical Manager in Dania Beach, FL to lead Technical Superintendents and manage vessel operations. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting skills, and compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will drive performance across multiple vessels, oversee drydock planning, and coordinate with commercial operators to ensure reliable service delivery.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Experience: Seven or more years of experience in marine engineering, fleet technical operations, or vessel management, including demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
Languages: English.
Traits: Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with computers and fleet management tools. Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple vessels and projects. Ability to travel as necessary, sometimes on short notice, including for shipyard projects and drydock oversight. Organized, decisive, and results-oriented.
Skills/Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with Nautical Systems – Enterprise (NSE).
Education: Maritime academy graduate or degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or related maritime discipline. USCG Senior engineering license.
