• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience required.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for Assistant Project Managers to join our Electrical Engineering team in Lansing, Grand Rapids, or Southfield, MI. Candidates must be licensed engineers.

Our team specializes in projects like power generation & distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security, and energy controls. We design new and renovated systems, perform energy evaluations, and conduct constructability reviews to optimize project costs and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical contract documents using Revit, AutoCAD, AGI Lighting, Power study software (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP).
• Ensure design compliance with local codes.
• Perform field inspections and document findings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated design.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, perform peer reviews, and QA/QC prior to project submission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• Licensed PE required.
• Proficiency in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power studies software preferred.
• Strong interest in power, lighting, and fire alarm design.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
