Job summary

MDPI is seeking an entry-level Assistant Editor to join its Editorial team. This full-time role welcomes graduates who wish to stay connected to scientific research by helping researchers publish their latest results; Thai citizenship is required.

You will communicate with scholars, organize peer-review, ensure manuscripts meet layout guidelines, and support the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board to keep journals running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD degree required.
  • Majors in natural science, technology, medicine, engineering or mathematics preferred.
  • TOEIC 600+ or equivalent English proficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Strong learning and communication ability required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with scholars and organizing the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts
  • Ensuring accepted manuscripts fit layout guidelines and can be published on time
  • Maintaining communication with the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, authors, and reviewers for smooth operation
  • Tracking progress in assigned research fields and assisting Managing Editor to meet targets
  • Completing other tasks as assigned

Job description

To strengthen our Editorial team, we are looking for graduates who are eager to stay connected to scientific research by helping researchers worldwide publish their latest results. The position of Assistant Editor is a entry-level, full-time position, required Thai Citizen.

As Assistant Editor, you will:
  • Communicating with scholars and organizing the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts
  • Making sure that accepted manuscripts fit our layout guidelines and can be published in a timely manner
  • Maintaining good lines of communication with the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, authors, and reviewers to ensure the journal’s smooth operation
  • Paying attention to progress in your assigned research fields and assisting the Managing Editor in meeting the journal’s targets
  • Completing other assigned tasks
Requirements:
  • Master’s or PhD degree
  • Natural science, technology, medicine, engineering, and mathematics related majors
  • TOEIC score 600+ or other English proficiency tests
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong learning and communication ability
