Mueller Water Products, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Category Manager to partner with business units, define sourcing strategies, and manage spend across the category.

You will lead supplier development, contract management, and RFx activities, ensure supplier compliance, and coordinate with multiple purchasing groups to drive continuous value and risk reduction for Mueller. The role requires a BA/BS in a relevant field and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, or relevant area.
• Experience in supplier management, sourcing, and RFx processes.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage risk in procurement.

Responsibilities

• Be a business partner for the assigned Category, capturing business needs.
• Develop and implement source strategies supported by a strong understanding of Mueller business.
• Manage price/cost according to objectives and market fluctuations.
• Supplier relationship management and contract development.
• Identify suppliers aligning with Mueller's production planning and review capacity.
• Report status and support project and stakeholder meetings.
• Lead supplier development, risk management and corrective actions.
• Support supply chain risk management and continuous risk reduction.
• Ensure suppliers comply with Mueller requirements and policies.
• Stay knowledgeable about value stream trends, tariffs, and regulations.
• Learn quickly and manage sourcing across multiple purchasing groups.
