Job summary

Mueller Water Products is seeking a Category Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies across multiple categories, including electronics, for our North American operations. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver business needs, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost and risk reduction.

The role requires strong procurement expertise, excellent negotiation, and strategic thinking to support Mueller’s water infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant procurement/sourcing background with demonstrated knowledge on electronics and technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement source strategies.
• Lead supplier relationships and contract development.
• Partner with Mueller Operations to capture business needs and drive it.
• Manage supplier performance and risk across assigned value streams.
• Collaborate with Engineering to influence design decisions for cost and capability.
