Clarkson University in Potsdam seeks an assistant diving coach to support the head coach with recruiting, teaching, counseling, marketing, alumni relations, fundraising and sport administration.
Promote the university’s mission and NCAA standards, recruit student‑athletes, help develop training plans, assist academic progress, media outreach, compliance, community programs, and travel itineraries for away contests.
Assist the head coach with recruiting, teaching/coaching, counseling, marketing, alumni relations, fundraising, and sport administration
Promote the mission and goals of Clarkson University, the NCAA, and the athletic department
Recruit and evaluate quality student-athletes who fit Clarkson University’s academic and athletic profile
Assist in developing annual recruiting plans
Assist in developing teaching/coaching, practice, and game preparation plans
Assist student-athletes with academic progress
Help develop a positive program image through media outlets
Assist with NCAA, league, and University compliance
Develop and promote community activities, including summer camps, leagues, and community service
Assist in developing strength, conditioning, and nutrition programs
Promote program, department, and University success as a primary alumni contact
Establish travel itineraries for away intercollegiate contests
Perform other duties assigned by the Head Coach
Demonstrates expertise in Diving, including tactical and technical knowledge, while effectively supporting recruitment, coaching, and compliance efforts. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for fostering student-athlete success and promoting program initiatives.
