Job summary

The State of Oklahoma seeks a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the Stigler office in Haskell County. The Stigler office is a small, two-support-staff, one-attorney operation that will begin immediately.

Caseloads include general felonies, property crimes, and the criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets, with assignments potentially rotating based on caseload and candidate interests.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in good standing; willing to relocate if licensed in another state.
  • Prosecution experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle general felonies, property crimes, misdemeanors and traffic dockets.
  • Serve as the primary attorney in the Stigler office with two support staff.
  • Begin immediately with a full-time schedule in Haskell County operations.

Job Description

The 18th Prosecutorial District (Haskell Counties) is seeking a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the Haskell County Office in Stigler, to begin immediately. The Stigler office, at full capacity, is a one-attorney office with 2 support staff.

Caseload assignments will primarily be general felonies and property crimes, as well as the criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets, and is subject to change based on caseload and applicant’s interest and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required. Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school. Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed in other states only if willing to relocate.
