Job summary

The City of Corpus Christi seeks an Assistant Director of CCW Infrastructure to oversee ~270 full-time staff responsible for water distribution and wastewater systems, including 3,200 miles of piping, 35,000 valves, 12,000 hydrants, and 105,000 meters.

You will lead strategic initiatives in safety, capital projects, AMI, asset management, and customer service, collaborating with executives to shape budget, standards, and CIP delivery while ensuring compliance and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/ BS) required.
• Seven (7) years of experience required.
• Or an Associate's degree (AA/ AS) with nine (9) years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and operations of water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Guide asset management and CIP project oversight.
• Manage budget planning and procurement for department.
