Job summary

City of East Point seeks an Assistant Water & Sewer Director to help plan, direct, and supervise all water and sewer operations. You will work under the Director to guide engineering activities, maintenance, and capital projects.

The role requires strong leadership, a Civil Engineering background, and a valid Georgia driver’s license, with a Master’s preferred and P.E. certification. 12+ years in water/sewer with supervisory experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• P.E. certification required; minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible water and sewer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director with plans, directs, and supervises Water & Sewer employees engaged in water filtration, distribution, and sewer operations.
• Supervise schedules, inspect work, and evaluate employee performance; ensure compliance with laws, permits and regulations.
• Develop and implement work schedules, methods, and policies to enhance department operations and safety.
