Job summary

City of East Point in Georgia seeks a dedicated maintenance worker to perform heavy manual labor across water, sewer, sanitation, stormwater, and buildings and grounds. You will be part of a crew handling diverse tasks from road construction to grounds maintenance, requiring reliable physical work and safety awareness.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of related experience, and must obtain a CDL class B within one year, plus a Distribution License

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Must obtain CDL class B within one year and Distribution License within one year.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains City water and sewer lines and landscapes.
• Conducts road construction and cleans streets.
• Patches potholes and repairs streets.
• Repairs and maintains sidewalks and grounds.
• Loads and unloads heavy materials and equipment.
• Assists in semi-skilled tasks and runs errands.
• Operates CCTV vehicle for inspections.
• Performs other heavy manual labor related to streets, roads, and facilities.
