Job summary

The University of Washington College of Arts & Sciences seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Services on the Seattle campus to lead undergraduate advising across multiple departments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least four years of progressively responsible experience in undergraduate academic advising, student services, or a related higher education role.
• Master's degree in higher education, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff development and create standardized operating procedures controlling advising workflows. FERPA knowledge referenced in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight for a team of undergraduate advisers across an assigned portfolio of departments.
• Design onboarding and professional development for advising staff; guide performance and workload management.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and an advising operations handbook for college units.
