Job summary

The Pineapple School -- San Antonio is seeking a flexible Assistant Director for an as-needed support role across one campus per day. The candidate will bring Lead Teacher experience and a passion for growing into leadership, with bilingual Spanish/English communication for staff and families.

The position requires availability 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM as needed and may involve coverage at any of the three campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and staff coverage as needed
• Support teachers with classroom management, behavior, and instructional needs

• Assist with daily school operations and administrative tasks; ensure compliance with Child Care Minimum Standards
• Open and/or close the school as needed
• Provide front desk coverage and assist with family communication
• Greet families, visitors, and prospective families
• Assist wherever needed throughout the school

Job description

We are looking for a flexible, motivated, and growth-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Director. This is an as-needed support position that provides coverage for absences and supports the administrative team as needed by the school. The ideal candidate has Lead Teacher experience, has mentored or coached others, and is interested in growing into a leadership role. Because we are a Spanish immersion school, candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English. This position requires communicating with teachers and staff in Spanish and parents and families in English. Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, as needed, and be willing to work at any of our three campuses. You will only be assigned to one campus per day.
