Job summary

University of San Diego seeks an Assistant Director of Student Success and Outreach for Torero Urban Scholars. The role drives holistic student support, retention, and community partnerships to advance post-graduate mobility for justice-impacted students.

You will coordinate intake, lead programming, and supervise graduate assistants while collaborating with campus and external partners to build pathways into higher education and careers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience advising, coaching, or mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with attention to confidentiality.
• Proven ability to coordinate programs, events, and partnerships.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed, equity-centered practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead student success initiatives, retention efforts, and holistic support for Torero Urban Scholars.
• Coordinate intake, onboarding, success planning, and ongoing assessment.
• Develop programs, workshops, and partnerships to promote mobility and belonging.
• Supervise graduate assistants, interns, and student workers involved in the program.
• Manage grant-related activities, reporting, and program compliance.
