Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks an Assistant Director of Student Success Programs (One Year Appointment) to lead innovative initiatives that empower students to thrive academically and professionally. You will guide student success coaching, the Coordinated Care Program, and GPS, using data-informed strategies to remove barriers and boost persistence and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in higher education or a closely related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in a second language (Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, propose, and implement unit policies and procedures to comply with regulations and academic objectives.
• May manage the unit budget and approve expenditures.
• Assist stakeholders with documentation, financial management, and reporting for grants or agreements.
• Provide full-service advising resources and communicate education options and requirements to students.
• Manage degree programs, high-impact practice programs, and curriculum development.
• Lead development and implementation of academic program initiatives.
• May supervise staff of at least 2.0 FTE, including hiring and performance management.
• Evaluate and enhance academic program strategy in collaboration with unit leadership.
• Serve as liaison to internal and external partners for academic program partnerships.
