The School of Molecular & Cellular Biology within the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for an Assistant Director for Advising & Recruitment. The role oversees curricular oversight and management of all recruitment and advising activities for undergraduates, serving as lead advisor for degree programs and guiding students from matriculation to degree attainment and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, physiology, neuroscience, or closely related field.
• At least 3 years of professional working experience in higher education including advising and recruitment.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and leading a team.
• Experience organizing meetings, conferences, graduations and award ceremonies, or other large events.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic input and oversight for all recruitment and advising activities within the School of MCB.
• Direct hiring, supervision and evaluation of advising and career counseling personnel.
• Lead recruitment, graduation and career development events and programs.
• Oversee communications and record-keeping for advising activities and student tracking.
