Job summary

Learning Care Group in Virginia seeks an Assistant Director to support the School Director in ensuring safe, high-quality child care and smooth daily operation. You will help promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children and uphold licensing standards.

In the Director’s absence, you have sole responsibility for the school, and you will lead a caring, safe environment for families, while guiding staff development and teamwork to achieve the center’s goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Associates Degree in ECE or related field is preferred.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school is operating safely and effectively in cooperation with the School Director.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
• Recruit, supervise, and retain quality staff as part of a team.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
