Job summary

Wyoming Behavioral Institute in Casper seeks an Assistant Director of Plant Operations to support the Director of Engineering/Plant Operations in planning, directing and implementing hospital facility maintenance and operation. This role covers equipment, buildings, and grounds, ensuring life & safety standards.

The position coordinates with vendors, supervises technicians and contractors, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA and related bodies.

Qualifications

• Must have 21+ years of age and be in good mental and physical health.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role in Facilities Engineering or Plant Operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, safety, construction management, facilities management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of maintenance, repairs and inspections.
• Direct maintenance tasks for life & safety compliance per standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for estimates, plans and materials.
• Lead daily work of maintenance staff and contractors as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA, and others.
