Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an Assistant Director of Plant Operations to assist in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing maintenance of an acute care hospital facility. You will coordinate with vendors on estimates, manage repairs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance technicians, contractors, and grounds staff, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting life-safety initiatives across the Behavioral Health hospital

Qualifications

Must be 21+ years old and in good health.
Must read, write, and speak English.
Requires minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in Facilities Engineering or Plant Operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, safety, construction management, facilities management, or related field.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and implement maintenance and operation of the hospital facility.
Coordinate with vendors for estimates on equipment, labor, plans/blueprints, materials and costs.
Ensure life and safety compliance and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA).
Direct and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, subcontractors, and grounds personnel.
Perform or direct repairs, painting, carpentry, flooring, installations and inspections.
