Job summary

BRCC is seeking an Assistant Director of Employee Experience and Success in Baton Rouge. The role leads talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives while partnering with managers to enhance workforce development and retention.

The ideal candidate will steer HR programs, guide a team, and translate strategy into measurable actions that improve the employee life cycle within the college system.

Qualifications

• Ten (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, talent acquisition, organizational development, employee engagement or learning and development.
• Six (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Higher Education Administration, or a related field can substitute for three years of progressively responsible experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead talent acquisition operations to deliver equitable, service-focused hiring.
• Coordinate onboarding and new-employee experience programs.
• Drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
• Provide HR guidance and leadership in collaboration with campus partners.
• Utilize HR technology and data to improve service delivery and reporting.
• Supervise staff and support routine department operations.
