Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV) invites applications for the Assistant Director, Pava Center. This role drives accelerator programs, supports student ventures, and partners with the Carey Business School to launch new initiatives.

Reporting to the Director FastForward Innovation & Programming, you will expand programming across Johns Hopkins schools, mentor student entrepreneurs, and coordinate funding opportunities while building a collaborative campus ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Three years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident due to Federal Export Controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage participant selection and administers all programming for an upper-level accelerator each semester.
• Supervise 4-6 student-staff peer advisors.
• Lead and manage processes for grant funding.
• Plan and execute the demo day showcase for up to fifteen teams.
• Collaborate on the Fuel and community-based Social Innovation Lab accelerators, as needed and/or as strategic to synchronize with other programming.
• Provide direct mentoring and general advising to student entrepreneurs regarding their ideas and ventures.
• Help to identify and curate relevant funding opportunities for student entrepreneurs.
• Write letters of support/recommendation, as needed, for grants or other opportunities.
• Provide support and mentorship to all Pava Center accelerator alumni, as needed.
• Support the Summer Incubator, including assisting in advertising, selecting participants, and developing programming.
• Support collaborative programming around fall orientation activities and/or January intersession activities, including developing programming and hosting responsibilities.
• Support the Director FastForward Innovation & Programming on software platforms, including evaluation, implementation, and user feedback.
