Job summary

GEORGIA RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION INC is seeking an experienced professional to assist in planning, coordinating, and managing the City of Warner Robins’ Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services Department. This role acts as the on-site department representative in the director's absence and supports capital projects, events, and community programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of recreation program management experience.
• 5–7 years of related supervisory experience in a recreation setting; valid driver’s license.
• NRPA CPRP Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage parks, athletic complexes, facilities, trails and greenspace.
• Coordinate department programs, services and personnel as directed by the Director.
• Assist with capital project planning and on-site representation during construction.
• Plan and schedule athletic events, tournaments, and city-wide events with safety in mind.
• Monitor service delivery, staff workload and department budget; prepare staff reports.
