Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a program coordinator to manage orientation- and enrollment-related initiatives for undergraduate populations, including transfers, international and first-generation students, commuters, and families. You will develop communications, materials, and schedules, and supervise student staff and NSE components.

The role requires presenting to groups, collaborating with faculty and staff, and occasional night or weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of professional experience in higher education student support services.
• Training and supervision of student leaders
• Experience developing initiatives or programs for college students
• Experience in event planning and management
• Public speaking experience
• Excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail
• Strong computer and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• Proven experience working collaboratively with diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Position manages orientation- and enrollment-related programs for special student populations (transfers, international, nontraditional, commuters, first-generation, parents).
• Develops emails, online orientation materials, presentations, proposals, and schedules; handles training and logistics.
• Maintains relationships with UNL faculty/staff, NSE leaders, International Welcome Team, student staff, and NSE professionals.
• Collaborates with senior associate director on pre-program planning, execution, and post-program follow-up.
