Job summary

Drexel University in Philadelphia seeks an Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions to manage the recruitment funnel and guide applicants from inquiry through enrollment for first‑year and transfer students. You will meet with families, counselors, and students to explain Drexel’s programs and support the enrollment process.

The role requires extensive travel to high schools, college fairs, and virtual events, up to 8 weeks in Fall and 3–6 weeks in Spring, with evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least 2 years of higher education experience.
• Superior customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 8 weeks during Fall recruitment and 3-6 weeks during Spring recruitment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Valid Driver's License and comfortable driving extensively.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in planning and implementing the student recruitment plan for specific admissions programs or projects.
• Coordinating external and internal recruiting efforts for a specific College/School; plan, coordinate and supervise programs or projects.
• Corresponding and/or meeting with prospective students, applicants, families, and others seeking information on admission standards, academic and non-academic programs.
• Travel as necessary for receptions, forums and corporate presentations to enhance recruitment efforts.
• Analyzing qualifications of prospective first year and transfer students using admissions criteria.
• Read student applications for admission to the university.
• Coordinating recruitment travel; executing the university recruitment plan.
• Giving presentations to large groups of students, families, and/or high school counselors.
• Support customer service needs via telephone and student inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.
