Job summary

Augusta University is seeking an Assistant Director of Transfer Operations to lead undergraduate transfer admissions processing, credit evaluation, and articulation for transfer, returning, and other student populations. You will supervise two full-time staff and ensure timely decisions while maintaining data integrity and policy compliance.

Collaborate with Academic Affairs and USG partners to support transfer student success and enrollment goals across Augusta University's campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, supervise two full-time Transfer Evaluation Coordinators.
  • Direct staff work to meet goals and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Train to ensure staff are knowledgeable of institutional and departmental updates and priorities.
  • Manage the evaluation and articulation processes for transfer credit for all degree-seeking undergraduate applicants.
  • Serve as the primary contact to and collaborator with Academic Affairs for credit evaluation decisions.
  • Lead efforts to improve technology and communication around transfer credit evaluation and articulation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current students regarding credit evaluation/articulation decisions and policy.
  • Ensure timely intake and review of all materials and decisioning for undergraduate transfer, returning, postbaccalaureate, transient, and auditing students.
  • Monitor the intake of applications and documents by Student Support Specialists.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy for all student files.
  • Develop and monitor reports to find and resolve application and decision discrepancies.
  • Provide information for transfer applications and established course equivalencies for internal and external reports and records.
  • Train and update staff and institutional partners on departmental procedures and policies around admission and credit evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of policies and processes are maintained and regularly updated.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. Contribute to the overall success of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Transfer Operations will lead institutional efforts for admission processing of undergraduate transfer, returning, postbaccalaureate, transient, and auditing students to Augusta University in addition to managing all credit evaluation and articulation for all undergraduate students. Supervising two full‑time staff members, the Assistant Director will carefully monitor and direct daily processing, credit evaluation, and decisioning to ensure data integrity/accuracy, timely document review, and quick admission decisions. They must have a commitment to transfer student success and will work closely with University System of Georgia and AU Academic Affairs leaders to ensure a student‑first credit transfer approach that aids in meeting enrollment goals and is compliant with system policy.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
SUPERVISION OF STAFF
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and provide ongoing development and mentorship for two full‑time Transfer Evaluation Coordinators.
  • Direct staff work to align daily and admission cycle priorities and ensure staff are performing to their highest ability to meet goals and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Train to ensure staff are knowledgeable of institutional and departmental updates and priorities
CREDIT EVALUATION
  • Manage the evaluation and articulation processes for transfer credit for all degree‑seeking undergraduate applicants to the university (includes credit earned from colleges/universities, military service, credit by exam, and prior learning assessment).
  • Serve as the primary contact to and collaborator with Academic Affairs for credit evaluation decisions.
  • Lead efforts to improve technology and communication around transfer credit evaluation and articulation, including the use of Parchment Raptor.
  • Serve as the institutional expert on USG policy regarding transfer credit.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current students regarding credit evaluation/articulation decisions and policy.
ADMISSIONS PROCESSING
  • Ensure timely intake and review of all materials and decisioning for undergraduate transfer, returning, postbaccalaureate, transient, and auditing students to Augusta University.
  • Monitor the intake of applications and documents by Student Support Specialists for assigned students populations.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy for all student files.
  • Develop and monitor reports to find and resolve application and decision discrepancies
REPORTING AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
  • Provide information for transfer applications and established course equivalencies for internal and external reports and records.
  • Train and update staff and institutional partners on departmental procedures and policies around admission and credit evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of policies and processes are maintained and regularly updated.
OTHER DUTIES
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. Contribute to the overall success of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Serve and actively engage on various institutions, divisions, and unit committees to contribute to overall undergraduate student enrollment, retention, and success.
