Job summary

Montage Hotels & Resorts in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to lead daily security operations and drive safety programs across the property.

You will partner with the Director of Security to develop policies, train staff, manage incident follow-ups, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining guest and asset protection.

Qualifications

• Prior Safety and Security leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience managing Workers Compensation and General Liability claims preferred.
• Proficiency, knowledge, and experience of basic law enforcement, a plus.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Embrace Technology – continually learn, adapt, and master to new operating system.
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Director of Security with managing the day-to-day operations of the Security Department
• Establish and implement security policies and procedures
• Review and follow-up on all incident, accident, and loss reports
• Assist with establishing Fire Life Safety policies and procedures
• Develop and train associate(s) in emergency preparedness procedures
• Assist in the implementation of the hotel’s key control program
• Actively participate in the property’s Safety Committee and take ownership of action items
• Collaborate with Director of Security to develop and implement department Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in training associates on all OSHA-related rules and regulations and Worker’s Compensation
• Act as systems administrator for access control system and CCTV (Closed-circuit Television) system
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs

Your Leadership

The pay scale for the Assistant Director of Security position is $90,000.00. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
