Job summary

Safe Streets Safe Neighborhood is seeking an Assistant Director in St. Louis to lead operations, partnerships, and fundraising. Working with the Executive Director, you will develop financial and reporting systems, strengthen collaborations, and drive program growth.

This hybrid, part-time role fits a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about violence prevention and community safety, with up to 20 hours per week and travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in operations and financial management within mission-driven organizations.
• Strong project management with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience building partner relationships and community engagement.
• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting (Excel/Google Workspace).

Responsibilities

• Track program outcomes and compile grant reporting.
• Refine and implement financial tracking and reporting systems.
• Oversee organizational compliance.
• Update and maintain SSSN’s website.
• Coordinate staff meetings with the Executive Director.
• Research and apply for government and philanthropic grants.
• Develop a small donor program.
• Identify and solicit major donors.
• Serve as a community ambassador and explore partnerships.
• Help develop a volunteer leadership advisory council.
