Qualifications

• Experience ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure reference materials at nurses stations are current and useful to residents.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures manual is current and reflects day-to-day nursing care procedures.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting residents for admission, including PASARR screening.
• Provide the Director with information related to nursing needs and service department capabilities.
• Assist the Director in preparing performance evaluations as directed.
• Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and assess nursing needs.
